Gail McGowan is an internationally travelled photographer who simply takes beautiful photographs. Gail is a member of The Royal Photographic Society & the SWPP & BPPA {Social Wedding & Portrait Photographers Association}

Photography has been her passion for as long as she can remember. Her eye for a shot and her exceptional people skills ensure a good experience for everyone. In Gail’s opinion an image should capture the essence of a person, so you see more than what is represented on the page. At university Gail gained a BA Honours degree and worked as a teacher both in Ireland and overseas. In her work as a photographer, these skills have stood her in good stead as she is especially gifted with children, managing to catch those fleeting moments of childhood in all their mystery and mischievousness. She is sensitive to the mood and interests of the child and understands how imperative it is to work quickly!

She enjoys looking at new ways to display your images so they contribute to the overall look of your household décor and enhance the wall on which they will hang for many years. Realising that you are more likely to be yourself when you have forgotten about the presence of the camera, Gail welcomes the opportunity to photograph you with your pets or doing an activity you particularly enjoy. The studio experience is also one where you are encouraged to bring your own ideas and interact freely with your family and friends to capture the unique bond between you.

Gail works in a freelance capacity for the Impartial Reporter and The Fermanagh Herald. Her work has also been published in a number of magazines, including The Ulster Tatler, Irish Country Sports and Country Life. Her fine art photography has been exhibited in a number of galleries The measure of a photograph is how it connects with you personally, and Gail counts it a privilege to provide you with an image which you will treasure for many years to come.
